Microblading

Ultra-fine, hairlike strokes — so natural, no one will know they're not yours.

Microblading treatment — Aesthetics by Erina, Wylie TX
Overview

Brows that look like they were always there.

Microblading is a semipermanent technique that uses a fine-blade tool to deposit premium pigment in your ideal shade, creating hairlike strokes that follow your natural brow growth. The result is brows so realistic, so tailored to your face, they look like they've always been yours.

Unlike pencils or powders, microbladed brows hold through sweat, water, and time — freeing you from your morning routine for 1–3 years. I trained at Phi Academy, one of the most rigorous brow programs in the world. Every stroke is intentional.

Preparation & aftercare

What to expect.

  • 30 days prior: avoid Retin-A, suntan/sunburn, Botox injections, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion.
  • A few days before: avoid eyebrow waxing, threading, and tinting.
  • 24 hours before: avoid blood thinners (Aspirin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Niacin) and alcohol.
  • Day of: avoid stimulants like coffee, the sauna, working out, and tanning. You may wear makeup — the brow area will be cleaned before treatment.
  • Arrive 10–15 minutes early for paperwork. Late arrivals may need to reschedule.

  • We'll spend time mapping your ideal shape and selecting your shade before any pigment is applied. Approximately 2–3 hours total.
  • Your brows may appear thick, bold, and dark immediately after. This is normal — color lightens up to 40% and strokes soften as you heal over 10–14 days.
  • Slight asymmetry is natural and expected. No two brows are perfectly identical — that's what makes them look real.

  • Days 3–7: brows will begin to peel and itch. Don't scratch or rub — let scabs shed naturally.
  • First 10 days: keep brows dry and clean. Avoid products (other than those provided), long hot showers, heavy sweating, and sleeping on your face.
  • 30 days: avoid sun exposure, tanning, light therapies, and facial treatments like chemical peels and laser.
  • SPF and hats will help your pigment last longer.
  • A 6-week touch-up appointment is included to perfect any missing strokes from your initial session.
Common questions

Microblading FAQs.

As with any body art, you can expect some discomfort during the procedure and healing process. Most clients don't require a topical anesthetic, but one can be provided if you're concerned about pain.

Microblading is not recommended for those with oily skin or anyone with previous permanent makeup that needs correction or cover-up.

Anyone 18 or older can receive microblading. Clients under 18 must bring a parent or guardian to sign for their procedure.

Approximately 2–3 hours for mapping, shade selection, and blading. We take the time to get it right before touching pigment to skin.

Brows are fully healed in 1–2 weeks. They'll appear darker and bolder right after treatment — the color softens and lightens significantly as healing completes.

Every client receives a 6-week touch-up appointment included in the price. We'll perfect any missing strokes or adjustments from your initial session at that time.

Results last 1–3 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Annual touch-ups keep brows looking fresh and defined.

I cannot offer microblading to those with diabetes, severe scarring, eczema, psoriasis, or other active skin conditions. Pregnant or breastfeeding clients require a doctor's clearance. Any other conditions must be cleared by your physician.

My schedule is full and my time is limited. A deposit confirms your commitment — and every dollar goes toward your treatment. Deposits are non-refundable, but rescheduling is welcome with one week's notice.

Microblading typically lasts 1–3 years, depending on your skin type, sun exposure, and aftercare routine. Clients with oily skin tend to see faster fading — usually 12–18 months. Annual touch-up appointments keep brows looking defined and fresh.

Microblading at Aesthetics by Erina costs $650 complete. That includes your initial session (2–3 hours), an aftercare kit, and a 6-week perfecting appointment to refine any strokes after healing.

Microblading works best on normal-to-dry skin. For oily or mature skin, Nano Brows — a machine-based technique — tend to deliver more consistent, longer-lasting results.

Microblading uses a hand tool with a manual blade to create strokes in the skin. Nano Brows use a digital tattoo machine with a single ultra-fine needle. Microblading typically produces a slightly softer, more natural look and is ideal for normal-to-dry skin; Nano Brows produce a slightly fuller, crisper result and work especially well for oily or mature skin. Both cost $650 at Aesthetics by Erina and include a 6-week touch-up.

Phi Academy is an international brow education organization widely considered the world's most rigorous microblading certification program. A Phi-certified artist has completed training in brow mapping, pigment theory, skin anatomy, and technique. Erina is a certified Phi Brow Artist.

Most clients experience mild discomfort rather than pain. A topical anesthetic is available if needed. The sensation is typically described as light scratching or pressure. The full appointment is 2–3 hours, with the actual stroking portion taking about 30–45 minutes.
